Data Engineer – Remote – Located in UK, Spain or Italy
Are you passionate about transforming raw data into powerful insights? We are working with a European Tech Unicorn that’s expanding its Engineering team where you will be the crucial link between machine learning/data science and engineering, tackling exciting data challenges alongside brilliant Data Scientists and ML Engineers.
Your Impact
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Architect data products for analytics and data science, focusing on forecasting, feature engineering, customer behavior analysis, and new data source integration
- Pioneer data transformation best practices in areas like data modeling, performance optimization, and data governance
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and ML engineers to refine data requirements and enhance our infrastructure
- Stay at the cutting edge through continuous learning, from exploring open-source tools to participating in community events
Your Expertise
We’re looking for individuals who bring:
- Minimum 3 years professional experience
- Strong Python programming skills and software engineering best practices
- Experience implementing Data Lake / Big Data Analytics platforms preferably with AWS
- Proficient with Spark or other big data tools for processing large datasets (Databricks is a Plus)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a fast paced collaborative environment
